Port of Siófok

The steamship Kisfaludy was put into operation in 1846. This moment meant the beginning of the passenger shipping on Lake Balaton.

Nowadays, the harbour of Siófok is the busiest of the 22 passenger ports around lake Balaton.

The shipping season at Lake Balaton traditionally starts at Easter every year and lasts until the end of October.

It is also worth visiting the port of Siófok in winter, because most of the passenger ships on Lake Balaton are here during the downtime.
